5/18-UEFAチャンピオンズリーグ決勝＆利根川水系連合水防演習総合リハーサル参加
久しぶりに夜中3時過ぎ、何とか起き出して、ついにこの日が来た、という感じの
UEFAチャンピオンズリーグ決勝をテレビ観戦しました。“雌雄を決する”という
言葉にふさわしく、息詰まる熱戦が繰り広げられました。開始早々15分で守備の要
であり、１０試合無失点の立役者GKレーマンの退場で守備的にならざるを得なくなった
アーセナルがアンリの絶妙なフリーキックからキャンベルがヘッドで先制。
その後世界一の攻撃力を誇るバルセロナに怒涛の攻めを受けるも跳ね返す
鉄壁の守りで、後半30分までは1-0で推移。が、さすがに10人対11人では、
体力消耗の差も歴然で、疲れが見え始めた後半31分、ついに鉄壁の壁を切り崩されて、
エトーに同点ゴール。つづけざまに、交代で入ったベレッチに逆転ゴールを許し、
力尽きました。アーセナル悲願の初優勝ならず、抜群の攻撃力とライカールト監督の
選手交代の妙でバルセロナが4季ぶり2度目の優勝を飾りました。
試合終了が6時少し前だったので、1時間ほど仮眠を取って、身支度を整えて、
朝食を取ってから詰所に向いました。この日は5年に1度、いよいよ5/20に取手の
利根川河川敷を会場に開催される利根川水系連合水防演習総合リハーサルに
参加しました。この利根川水系連合水防演習は国土交通省、茨城県、取手市主催で
一都六県の消防本部、警察本部、自衛隊、茨城県の消防団などが参加して、
合同で水防演習を実施するという大規模なものです。5/20当日は、北側国土交通相も
ヘリコプターで来場される予定になっております。今回の我々の任務は、表のテレビに
写るような各工法（=五徳縫い、竹とげ、月の輪、釜段工などなど）を実施する
担当選手ではなく、裏側で選手達が作った“月の輪”に水を貯めるという、その水を
出す役を担当致します。つまりは台風とか、増水の時の水の役です。消防署が事前に
貯めた水槽に、第3分団のポンプ車から水を吸い取るホース（=吸管）を2本突っ込んで、
ポンプ車からのばしたホースから放水するというものです。7:30に集合し、8時過ぎに
は準備も終え、それから待つこと約1時間。9:30にようやく総合リハーサルが始まり
ました。2部構成となっていて、第1部は、水防団（=消防団）による水防演習。
第2部は、自衛隊や警察、レスキューによる水難事故の救命救急実演となっております。
NHKアナウンサーの司会で、今回の主催者である国交相や知事の挨拶も
時間を計りながらきっちりと進められました。我々の出番は中々こなくて、
演習開始から約1時間後、10:30頃にようやく出番が回ってきました。出番と言っても、
誰も指示する人も無く、勝手に「ここが出番だろう？」と自分達で判断して
出ていきました。我々の出番はあっという間に終わり、それ以降は、他の演習を眺めて
おりました。12:30過ぎから閉会式が始まり、1時前にリハーサル終了。詰所に戻って
昼食を取って解散となりました。残念ながら、私は20日の本番当日は、
親友の結婚式のため参加できませんが、このリハーサルで大まかな流れや、
貴重な演習そのものを見ることができ、とてもいい経験をさせて頂きました。
