5/15-長ーい1日！
生憎の雨模様となり肌寒い朝となったこの日、消防の水出し訓練を、
第26分団（新道地区）、第7分団（青柳地区）、当第3分団（仲町地区）の3分団合同で
吉田消防署で行いました。実際に防火水槽から水を吸い上げて、ホースをポンプ車に
繋いで、水を出す、という訓練です。1年に1～2回自主的に行っている恒例行事なの
ですが、実際の火事現場でも迅速に消火活動が行えるよう、器具の使用方法等も含め、
かなり実践に近い形で行いました。小雨のパラつく中、2時間ぐらいで訓練は終わり、
昼食後、誰からともなく、ソフトボールの練習をしよう、ということになり、土手で
ソフトボールの練習をしました。昨年、当町内の祭仲間で市のソフトボール大会に
参加し、１勝も出来ず悔しい思いをしたので、今年こそは１勝を、ということで、
6月の大会に向け、皆が集まったいい機会なので、練習をしました。自分は野球は苦手
なのですが、ライ8（=ライトで8番…古い？）でも何でもいいので出たい、とは思って
いますが、消防でも、祭でもそうですが、皆、やる気のある熱い連中なので
今年は選手層も厚く、ポジションがあるかどうか、分かりません。（というか、昨年
自分は参加しておらず、今年からの参加なので出場できるかどうか？）練習内容から
すると、今年は１勝できるかも？その後、夜は夜で、ほぼ朝からと同じメンバーで
当町内の祭の若衆初寄合を行いました。（わざと皆が集まるこの日に合せたのですが）
毎年、すしや惣菜を酒の肴に、酒宴を開き、若衆を集めて今年の祭への協力をお願い
する、というものです。6時から始まって、9時過ぎに1次会は終わり、その後駅前の
ファミレスで食事して、12時過ぎに帰宅しました。とても濃密な長ーい1日でした。
